Periodontology

For a healthy and beautiful smile affects among other things the condition and the appearance of the gums.

Unpleasant breath, bleeding, swelling, and redness of the gums may indicate gum disease or periodontitis. Periodontologist takes care of effective treatment of these disease entities.

 

Subgingival scaling

Subgingival scaling is performed when you need to remove the deposits of the tartar, which was located on the roots of teeth - subginigvally (under the gum).

Most often it is performed in together with supragingival scaling.

During the subgingival scaling are used both ultrasonic scalers and curette.

Subgingival scaling is performed under local anesthesia.

Specialist in Periodontics


Graduated as a dentist from the Faculty of Dentistry at the Medical University in Lublin in 2013. Obligatory postgraduate training in Krakow (Specialist Dental Offices). In the years 2015 – 2018 she did specialist postgraduate studies in the field of periodontology at the Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She was awarded a specialist degree in periodontics in 2018 after successfully passing state examinations. She completed Periodontal Curriculum of Prof. dr h. c. Anton Sculean M.SC from the University of Bern. She is member of PTP (Polish Periodontal Association) and has taken part in many conferences and trainings in the field of periodontics and periodontal surgery.
